eRa is proud to announce the acquisition of our new Call of Duty roster heading into Stage One of the CWL Pro League. After a hard-fought battle in the open bracket at CWL New Orleans, the previous roster consisting of Mochila, Pandur, GodRx, and MirX has been released. We thank them for their hard work and wish them the best of luck in the future!
Previously apart of the DooM organization as their first venture into competitive Call of Duty, the new squad consisting of Richard ‘Ricky’ Stacey, Maurice ‘Ferocitys’ Henriquez, Jacob ‘Decemate’ Cato and Embry ‘Bevils’ Bevil held a temporary tenure at the organization to attend CWL New Orleans.
When asked about the acquisition, owner and CEO CJ “Spadez” Kornhaus felt that this was the right move to make…
“It’s always been a dream of mine to have a roster in the Pro League. It was always the goal to have a talented roster like this and I am very confident in what they will accomplish”.
After losing teammate BlazT to Enigma6 before roster lock, the squad missed Pool Play due to lack of pro points and was ultimately forced to the open bracket and were given the number one seed. After taking the first five rounds, they lost round 6 to Lightning Pandaz sending them to the championship losers bracket. There they would face GGEA Orange and GGEA Blue in the first and second rounds, defeating them both with a shutout 3-0. After narrowly defeating Unilad in round 3, the squad succumbed to Evil Geniuses ending their run with a 5th-8th place finish and a spot in Division A for Stage One of the CWL Pro League.
When asked about the confidence of the team, Ricky was in high spirits about Stage One…
“I’m super excited to be apart of the eRa family & have high hopes with this team for the season. Stage One is just around the corner and I’m ready to show people the potential of our team”.
Stage one of the CWL Pro League will run from January 23rd to April 8th with the Stage One playoffs occurring on April 6th through the 8th.
